From the Chairman

First of all I must say how much I enjoyed the November Coffee morning. It was a proper members’ morning and I met quite a few people that I had not had time to talk to before. I am now getting to the end of my time as Chairman and I have enjoyed getting to know so many of you and getting involved more closely with the U3A. I must admit that I had not realised how much more there was to know.

Our New Year’s Party in January promises to be fun. There will be an entertainment instead of the quizzes that we had this year and last. Please be sure to come at 10.45 so that we can start promptly at 11.00

I hope you are all looking forward to Christmas. We will be away from December 21st until January 4th. Our son is building a house in Norfolk and his family are living in a mobile home at present, so we have booked a self catering house on a farm near them. This means we shall spend Christmas Day with a five and a three year old. It will be quite lively. However, there will be walks and bird watching to look forward to. I look forward to seeing you again in 2008.

Have a Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Josephine.

New Year’s Party

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped with the coffee, tea and washing up at the Coffee Mornings this year. I will be asking for volunteers for 2008 at the January party. Please bring your diaries. Maureen.
