New Year Party
Don’t forget it’s the New Year Party on 20 January. There are still some tickets available from Clare Edwards or at the door. We have a full programme of entertainment including the U3A Choir and our version of “Snow White and some of the Seven Dwarfs” as well as good food and wine for all.

In December, instead of leading us through the byways of the local countryside, Maureen arranged for us to eat at The Mirabelle in Nomansland. Fourteen Strollers met for a delicious pre-Christmas lunch and the only things we exercised were our tongues!

A good 5 mile walk starting at the Old Castle Inn (The Harvester) walking from Old Castle Rings, along the sheep drove to Little Durnford and across the Woodford Valley. Meet in the car park to start at 10.00 a.m.

Visit the Playhouse Theatre, Salisbury, for a matinee performance of Noel Coward’s for ever popular love story and comedy PRIVATE LIVES. Centre stall seats are reserved. Performance commences 2.30 pm. Cost £12.00. Tickets available at January meeting or alongside Box Office on the day. Seats available due to cancellation.
Cruising in 2010
A Baltic cruise on the Fred Olsen vessel BALMORAL leaving Dover on 20 June 2010 and returning 2 July (12 nights, 13 days). The Balmoral has 710 cabins and a crew of 500. The itinerary includes visits to Kiel (Germany), Talinn (Estonia), St Petersbourg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark). Special prices have been negotiated ranging from £1129 in a twin cabin to £1926 in a single cabin. We visit a small, family run LAVENDER FARM situated between Selborne and Alton. We shall enjoy an afternoon guided tour of the farm and distillery and a stroll through the lavender fields followed by cream tea in the farmhouse garden.
