Welcome to New Member

Elizabeth Crowe

From the Chairman

There are several things to bring to your notice this month.

In your November Newsletter, there will be a subscription renewal form and we hope that the way it is worded will simplify renewals for our Membership Secretary, Phyl Mullins.  Please return the completed form to Phyl, together with a stamp addressed envelope for your new membership card.

Tickets for the New Year’s Party in January will be on sale at the November and December Coffee Mornings.  They will be £4.00.  Do buy your tickets early, as this helps Mary Cole, who kindly does the catering.

Flyers from Norwich Union will be on the notice board at coffee mornings.  They offer insurance for U3A members.  Home and Contents Insurance offers reduced rates that automatically include buildings and contents cover for U3A meetings in your home.  Their Motor Insurance offers reduced rates for limited mileage and also covers your vehicle for car sharing.  It might be worth considering?

Please take note of requests from those who help to run our U3A.  We need someone to help with the sound system electrics at the Coffee Mornings.  Brian Griffiths needs help as Treasurer and we will soon be asking for nominations for next year’s Committee.  We need YOU, don’t be shy to come forward, however short a time you have been a member.

                                                                                                            Josephine Hawkins

From the Membership Secretary

As we now have several people on the waiting list, it would be very helpful if you could let me know if you have decided not to renew your membership for 2007-8.

Thank you. Phyl Mullins
