The joint social event between the three Salisbury U3As took place on Thursday 3 September in the form of a Hog Roast at Alderbury Village Hall. Pritchetts of Salisbury did a wonderful job of roasting and carving a whole pig that was served with a selection of salads, rolls and sauces. The bar staff kept everyone happy with wine and other drinks and the delicious desserts were provided and served by Mrs Kay.
The aim of the event was to promote togetherness between the three U3As and proved very successful with everyone enjoying themselves and meeting new people. Many positive comments have been received asking for a repeat next year.
Our thanks to all those who organised this event, especially to Moira Dickson of Salisbury U3A whose idea it was in the first place.
