From the Chairman
Now that the children have gone back to school and we are all starting our Autumn pursuits, Summer has arrived. This week has been glorious. However, by the time you read this it could all have changed. I hope that you are all enjoying your groups. Once again a big thank you all the group leaders. Do not forget to let your leader know if for some reason you have to miss a meeting. Please remember that the money to help towards expenses is now 50p a session.
We shall soon be coming to a time when we have to look for a new chairman for Sarum U3A. I will have
completed my two years in March 2008 and I know from experience that it is no use leaving it until
everyone is busy with Christmas before mentioning it. You do not need to be a member of the present
committee to offer your services, as we will be wanting new committee members next year. We would
like to see some fresh faces on the committee. Do not be shy at coming forward. Josephine
Groups
The new season is now getting underway – and some groups have never stopped! Members should have phoned Group Leaders to confirm starting dates, venues and arrangements. Any general queries to Jean on 335909. We now all need to fill in the relevant details in our diaries, at least up to Christmas. Please try to treat group meetings as a prior commitment, as it is disappointing for Group Leaders if people do not turn up. I am sure everyone will enjoy the various activities which form such a lively and interesting part of our U3A.
