Subscriptions
The final date for payment of 2005/2006 subscriptions is 31st March. After that date it will be assumed you do not wish to continue your membership and you will, of course, no longer be eligible to participate in the groups to which you currently belong. If, on the contrary, you wish to renew, please contact the Treasurer urgently on 01980 610405

GROUPS and EDUCATION

WANTED! NEW GROUPS
If you have an idea for a new group, please fill in the ‘Ideas Sheet’ at the AGM or telephone the Groups Organiser on 335909. Remember that groups can be quite small, based on ‘common interest’ or ‘shared learning’ (rather than needing a specialist leader), and can be monthly, fortnightly or weekly and fitted round the family, health, holiday and other realities of group coordinator or members.

The Walking Group N.B.
The walk to be led by Aileen Manchee from The Pelican at Stapleford on 31 March will now take place on 28 April. The walk to be led by Josephine Hawkins from the Swan at Stoford on 28 April will now take place on 31 March.
Science and Technology Forum
There will be no meeting in March.

Science & Technology Group
Monday April 25th
The meeting will consist of a visit to
Roger Kent's farm at Odstock. Meet at 10.00am at Nunton Road Farm entrance
(GR 145 246).

Strollers Group are meeting on Thursday 31st March at 10:30 am. Park at The Crown (opposite the church) where lunch will be available after the walk. Please phone Jean McFarlane on 01722 331944 if you are attending.

Photography Forays
This course will start on March 25th at 2 pm at 12 Chiselbury Grove Harnham. It will be a planning meeting for all who wish to learn about taking successful pictures, Digital or Film. Please bring along your camera to aid the discussion. Future meetings will be out and about with your camera and will take place at least every four weeks during the summer months. Car sharing for trips will be encouraged. The course is run for Spire U3A but some members of Sarum are already in this group. Would those members and any others who are interested please ring to let us know how many to expect on Good Friday afternoon. Ring: 01722 501218. Sheila and Peter Read.

Playhouse Theatre Discussion Group
The next meeting to discuss Tom Stoppard's "The Invention of Love", Thursday March 16th 2p.m. Some vacancies have occurred and if you would like to join the group to discuss this play, please give Brenda a ring 332738

Health Care Regional Group
The next meeting of the Combined Salisbury U3As group will be at 2p.m. on 22nd April at Harnham Memorial Hall when the speaker will be Jo Bell Forum Advisor/Community Development of the N.H.S. Advocacy Partnership, Swindon.
At the last meeting Sally Tomlin the Chief Pharmacist at Odstock talked about the work of her department and a small group was invited to visit.

LOCAL NEWS

The National Initiative entitled 2nd World War Experiences that is being co-ordinated locally by the Museum in the Close has its next meeting on April 14th. If you cannot get to that meeting please write and send in your account to the Museum. Written stories of your own experiences as a child growing up during the 2nd World War are very much appreciated (1300 words), and will be shared with school children, helping them with their studies and showing them real life experiences.
