Salisbury U3A meets at the Methodist Church Hall in St Edmund's Street at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month. An attendance fee of 50p is paid at the meeting to help defray the costs of hall hire, coffee etc. The meeting opens with coffee, followed by news of activities at 10.30am and a talk by an invited speaker. Members are encouraged to view the Notice Board at the rear of the hall for current activities. An Outings Desk, also located at the rear of the hall, is open at 10am for the booking of coach day trips, visits to the opera and plays; the Outings Organiser also publishes a monthly Outings News. Salisbury U3A's Newsletter is published three times a year. The Study Group programme for the coming year is available in June, and in August members are advised which groups they have been able to join. If there are vacancies, members can join later in the year.Smaller groups meet in the homes of tutors, and meetings of larger groups are held in various halls. Members are asked to contribute 40p each session for the provision of coffee/tea and biscuits. When sharing a car on outings members are requested to contribute towards the cost of petrol.The annual subscription is currently £10.
