At the meeting held on May 3, the chairman welcomed many new members. He asked for volunteers to make coffee each month. Ivan Raynsford Smith praised the excellent organisation of the trip to Dublin, and presented John Ewington with a well deserved bottle of Scotch. John Ewington gave notice of the outings to come. Volunteers were needed to assist 14-15 year old pupils at Downton school in the week of July 17, doing applique and collage work.There is a bus walk to Parsonage Down on Monday June 16 to see the wild orchids.
