A splendid summers day was spent at Basildon Park near Reading by 5 members of the group. The rest of the group missed a treat. The house was larger than we anticipated and the the room stewards were more than helpful and chatty withal. A really great day that we finished off by a visit to Lardon Down and The Holies. Both areas of chalk grassland .
