This was a lovely day. The weather was perfect - warm sun a little breeze. There were 12 of us plus 2 children. The Manor House opens at 2pm so we started by havong a coffee and getting tickets for the first tour. Then we mooched around the Barn Gallery where there are meant to be Natterers bats roosting. Well that was their reason for the low lighting. Then lunch was taken at the Red Lion. Before the tour we had a quick look at the church next to it. There is a lovely churchyard. Now we went on the tour of the house. First we had to don plastic overshoes to protect the fabric of the building. After seeing this we all visited the gardens. And finally we managed to see the stones. |
